Dear Andrea
Thank you so much for leading the South Island trip we have just finished. Thanks to your excellent leadership and detailed organisation everything was so good. As the oldest in the group and the least able walker I did appreciate how you took care of me and made sure I still had a good time.
Please will you pass on my thanks to Steve also. He was very kind to me and took extra care with things like lifting my bag and walking with me at the end of the pack.

Every step a story. kMR is a trail running festival celebrating Hobart’s mountain culture, bringing trail runners, adventurers and the wider community together to feel the power of connection with kunanyi/Mount Wellington.
kMR was borne from a grassroots’ demand for an immersive event in Australia’s only mountain capital, and a vision for every runner, crew member and supporter to learn from and be inspired by the community’s connection with the mountain.
Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre
kunanyi always was, and always will be Aboriginal land. kunanyi carries our cultural stories, stories and songlines,
passed down from generation to generation, connecting the past with the future, old with new and playing a major
role in maintaining one of the oldest continuous cultures in the world, the culture of the palawa people.
The palawa (Tasmanian Aboriginal) community are pleased to support the kunanyi Mountain Run – a community festival that celebrates not just trail running, but connection to our Country, and aims to share all kinds of stories, including the cultural stories of our palawa people.
The team organising kMR has been mindful of the respect required for kunanyi and Tasmania’s Aboriginal people.
Trail running is known to be low impact on Country and the trail running community to be respectful to Aboriginal lands they immerse themselves in. We look forward to a long and complementary relationship with kMR and the trail running community.
Come and share the story in March 2023
